Splendor Continued

I continued with first glazes of the flowers on the right.  The second photo shows you what rough paper looks like up close. When I took out another sheet of watercolor paper for this painting, I found that I had been sent a package of Saunders Waterford 'rough' paper and not the 'cold press' which is smoother. 'Hot press' is even smoother. I am actually pleased with the texture of the rough which is good because I have 7 more sheets of this 22x30" 300# paper.
